Icon. Showstoppah. Main Eventah.

Wow, another bad horror movie from Canada. Serious, aside from the US, France and occasionally Japan, people need to stop these crapfests.

In theory, this is a decent idea. You have a demon/alien/something that is never quite revealed that crawls into people through their belly buttons and eats them from the inside out while possessing them. 69 humans later it can breed. However, due to horrible acting, special effects and a laughable CGI monster this never comes together well.

I will say that this movie actually made me ill and not from the gore. A side effect of the possession is a lot of burping and gas and just the outright crudeness turned my stomach. It also makes you eat nonstop and I actually dry heaved when a possessed guy dunked a stick of butter in mayo and began eating it while drinking out of a carton of milk. Oh my god, just writing that made me do it again. Holy shit is that nastier than any slasher flick.

Anyway bad boy and sweet girl team up to save this Canadian town with the help of some one eyed Inquistor. Film over.

Scourge relied on a lot of fat, fart, and burp jokes to get the movie over and in this respect it failed miserably. It’s never scary or well done. most of the time it seems to be a bad attempt at satirizing horror films. Definite pass in every way possible.

Also, yet another horror movie where the cover never actually happens in the film. I hate that.
